04. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our Internet pages use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser automatically deletes them.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies can also be stored on your device when you enter our website (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain third-party services (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have different functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or to display advertising.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions you require (functional cookies, e.g., for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g., cookies to measure the web audience) based on Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. GDPR are saved, unless another legal basis is given. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the cookies concerned are stored exclusively based on this consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR); the consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions - in particular statutory retention periods - remain unaffected.

05. Social media

Presence in social networks (social media)

Purposes of processing

We are represented on social media platforms in order to get in touch with the users of these platforms and to increase our reach (level of awareness). Communication with users takes place by the use of the functions available on the platforms. In order to measure the success of our activities, we use evaluations or tracking functions (e.g., for interest- / behavior-related profiling), cookies and remarketing functions offered by the respective manufacturer. In order to promote the exchange of views or to win new customers, we look after groups.

Notes on data processing by social networks

The operators of social networks are usually not based in the European Union. This means that personal data is also processed outside of the European Union (e.g., USA). As a result, there is an increased risk that user data will not be processed in accordance with the data protection requirements required by the European Union or that it will be difficult or impossible for users to exercise their rights.

Social networks process extensive user data in order to create personal usage profiles. These usage profiles are used in particular for advertising purposes or market research data. This can be expressed in the form of advertisements that are displayed to users inside or outside the social networks that correspond to the interests of the user. In addition, e.g., data on the devices, browsers and resolution used when using the platforms are usually assigned to the usage profile. For these purposes, cookies are stored on the users' computers, among other things.

For a detailed description of the respective forms of processing and the possibilities of objection (opt-out), we refer to the data protection declarations and information provided by the operators of the respective networks.

You can best assert your data subject rights (e.g., information or deletion) with the respective provider. Only the operators of the social platforms have access to your data and can fulfill your requests for data subject rights.

Types of data processed

  • Personal identification data (e.g., names, addresses, e-mail address, telephone number)
  • Electronic identification data (e.g., websites visited, interest in content, access times, device information, IP addresses)

Legal bases

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f. GDPR).

06. Analysis tools

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. The website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of stay, operating systems used and the origin of the user. This data may be summarized by Google in a profile that is assigned to the respective user or their device.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the user to be recognized for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This analysis tool is used on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. You can find details here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

Browser plugin

You can prevent Google from collecting and processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

You can find more information on how Google Analytics handles user data in Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Google Analytics IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Google Analytics reports on demographics and interests

This website uses the “demographic characteristics” function of Google Analytics in order to be able to show website visitors appropriate advertisements within the Google advertising network. This allows reports to be created that contain statements on the age, gender and interests of the site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as from visitor data from third-party providers. These data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the point "Objection to data collection".

Storage period with Google Analytics

Data stored by Google at user and event level that are linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g., user ID) or advertising IDs (e.g., DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) are anonymized after 14 months or deleted. You can find details on this under the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de

IONOS web analytics

This website uses the analysis services of IONOS WebAnalytics (hereinafter: IONOS). The provider is 1 & 1 IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, D - 56410 Montabaur. As part of the analyzes with IONOS, inter alia Visitor numbers and behavior (e.g., number of page views, duration of a website visit, bounce rates), visitor sources (e.g., which page the visitor comes from), visitor locations and technical data (browser and operating system versions) are analyzed. The storage and analysis of the data takes place based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information on data collection and processing by IONOS WebAnalytics can be found in the IONOS data protection declaration under the following link:

The Google Tag Manager is used based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the quick and uncomplicated integration and administration of various tools on his website. 07. Plugin and tools

Google Fonts

This page uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to the Google servers. This gives Google knowledge that this website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google WebFonts is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the uniform representation of the typeface on his website. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's data protection declaration: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

08. Audio and video conferencing

Data processing audio and video conferencing tools

We use online conference tools for communication with our customers. The individual tools we use are listed below. If you communicate with us via video or audio conference via the Internet, your personal data will be recorded and processed by us and the provider of the respective conference tool.

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., by e-mail, post or via the online application form). In the following, we will inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that your data will be collected, processed and used in accordance with the applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions and that your data will be treated strictly confidential.

Scope and purpose of the data collection

If you send us an application, we process your related personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes in the context of job interviews, etc.), insofar as this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG-new under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation) and - if you have given your consent - Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. a GDPR . The consent can be withdrawn at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on to persons within our company who are involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems based on Section 26 of the BDSG-new and Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.
